If you’re looking for the sort of pony you can trust with your child under pretty much any circumstances, Doughnut is him.
He is an absolute sweetheart and genuinely one of those rare ponies who makes life easy. He’s definitely more woah than go, has a lovely soft mouth and is ridden in a snaffle. He can be ridden on or off the lead rein, will happily pop a small jump and is adorable to handle — a child can genuinely do him themselves.
To give you some idea of just how trustworthy he is, he has even been ridden by a 6ft inflatable Stitch… whose rider couldn’t actually see out of the eye holes. 😂 Doughnut, unsurprisingly, couldn’t have cared less.
His hacking is where he is worth his weight in gold. A Trojan horse couldn’t hack better than Doughnut. You could ride him into battle and he’d probably just wonder when everyone was stopping for snacks. He is absolutely angelic out and would be PERFECT for a mum wanting a safe pony for her child to follow along behind while she hacks her own horse.
Equally, we could see him being an absolute dream for a family wanting something they could ride and lead out hunting. He’s sensible, uncomplicated and takes everything in his stride.
Doughnut has also driven and is apparently just as perfect doing that, making him a genuinely versatile little family pony.
On the ground he is super adorable, kind and easy. He’s the type you can trust a child to handle, fuss over and enjoy without needing an adult hovering over them every second.
He isn’t going to be the pony looking for the biggest jump or the fastest way around — his speciality is being SAFE, SWEET and RELIABLE.
A true mother’s dream and the sort of pony that is incredibly hard to replace. 🍩❤️
